According to TMZ, Thornton was traveling on a commercial flight in May when a fellow passenger complained about him to a member of the cabin crew.

Sources cited by the outlet said the pilot contacted authorities ahead of the aircraft’s arrival so law enforcement could meet Thornton at the gate.

American Airlines confirmed that law enforcement met Flight 1276 at Los Angeles International Airport on May 14 after concerns were reported by a passenger onboard.

Thornton, who was reportedly wearing a Wheel of Fortune jacket at the time, was questioned by officers following the flight and then allowed to leave.

Importantly, there has been no public indication from Sony or American Airlines that Thornton was arrested or charged with a crime.
