When it comes to plot twists, no one does it better than Harlan Coben and his latest series is (almost!) here to prove it. His new Netflix thriller, I Will Find You, is just days away from premiering and if you’re after a jaw-dropping watch, you’ve just found it.

The eight-part series is the crime author’s most exposing yet, with the central mystery revolving around father David Burroughs (Sam Worthington), who’s in prison for supposedly murdering his son. But the truth is, David didn’t commit a murder at all – and his son, it seems, may well still be alive.

Ahead of I Will Find You’s release this Thursday (18th June), here’s everything you need to know about the new Harlan Coben series we’re all about to be hooked on, including the full plot, cast, trailer and how to watch it.

The eight-part series brings Harlan Coben’s 2023 novel of the same name to life and follows father David Burroughs (Sam Worthington), who’s serving a life sentence for murdering his son – only he didn’t do it. And when he learns that his son might actually still be alive, he embarks on a truth-finding mission to find him – but first, he must escape.

David punishes himself for the tragedy every day, having woken up in the middle of the night covered in the blood of three-year-old Matthew. And despite the fact that he knows he didn’t commit the murder, he has no way or proving it – and no idea what actually happened that fateful night either.

Over the course of the series, we meet several key characters caught up in the mystery, including Rachel Mills (Britt Lower), David’s ex-sister-in-law and a former decorated reporter whose life fell apart after she was fired. When she discovers evidence of |an incredible secret”, Rachel views it as a once-in-a-lifetime story that could be her ticket back to journalism.

We’re also introduced to Cheryl Dreason (Erin Richards), David’s ex-wife and a talented and compassionate paediatric surgeon. While Cheryl still grieves the loss of her son, she’s worked hard to rebuild her life and when her ex-husband breaks out of prison, long-buried secrets threaten to unravel everything she’s built.

Is I Will Find You any good?

Netflix
i will find you

Yes, if you’re already a fan of Harlan Coben thrillers, you’ll know how gripping they can be and I Will Find You is no exception. Firstly, the prison break element makes for heart-pounding viewing, but the element of a murdered child who might actually be alive gives the series real emotional depth that we often don’t see in the author’s TV adaptations. In our opinion, it’s up there with his best work to date.

How can I watch I Will Find You?

All eight episodes of I Will Find You will arrive on Netflix on Thursday 18th June.

What other Harlan Coben series can I watch now?

just one look

One of Harlan’s most mind-boggling TV adaptations is Just One Look. The story revolves around Greta (Maria Dębska), a wife and mother whose life unravels when she discovers an old photograph of her husband with a stranger’s face ominously crossed out. Within hours, her husband has disappeared – and the real mystery begins. You can watch Just One Look now on Netflix. For something more true to life, we’d recommend Harlan Coben’s Final Twist, which is coming to Paramount+ this Sunday (21st June). The series sees the author guide us through a collection of murder investigations and high-profile crimes, including the murder of a couple in their home, which leads detectives to a bizarre cyberbullying conflict.
