Tom Hardy’s ‘axe’ from MobLand

In May, it was reported that Tom had been fired from the Paramount+ drama after two seasons due to a falling out with executive producer Jez Butterworth and producer David Glasser. It was also reported that he was frequently late to arrive on-set and insisted on changes to the script.

The report originally appeared in the industry newsletter Puck, with Matthew Belloni, former Editorial Director of The Hollywood Reporter, writing: “I’m told Paramount recently opted not to pick up Hardy for season three after his clashes with producers Jez Butterworth and David Glasser, among others, during the recent production of season two.”

Later that month, Variety challenged the reports, stating that Tom had not been fired from the show and that Tom, Jez and David are currently trying to resolve their issues.
