Meghan Keeps a Low Profile as She Settles Archie and Lilibet Into Life in Britain

Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, could remain largely out of public view for several weeks as she concentrates on helping her family settle back into Britain.
The priority for Meghan is understood to be her two children, Prince Archie, seven, and Princess Lilibet, five, as they adjust to their new home and schools.
Rather than stepping into the spotlight alongside Prince Harry, Meghan is expected to keep a relatively low profile while the family establishes its new routine.
The couple’s return to Britain marks a significant change for the family after several years living in California. Their decision to move back has also attracted considerable attention, making Meghan’s choice to stay away from public engagements particularly notable.
Meghan has already avoided public appearances
Meghan has not been seen publicly in Britain since the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II, four years ago.
Although she returned to the UK in July, she has largely stayed away from the cameras. She had been expected to join Harry at two events but ultimately withdrew from both.
Instead, Meghan shared glimpses of the family’s time in Britain, including photographs from a visit to Althorp, the family estate of Princess Diana, as well as a trip to the Scottish Highlands.
The family has been keeping much of its new life private as Archie and Lilibet prepare to begin their new chapter at school. Reports have indicated that the children were enrolled at a British school as part of the family’s relocation.
According to The Sun, Meghan could remain away from public engagements for weeks.
A source said there were “a lot of things to arrange” and that Meghan was currently “totally focused on getting the kids settled for now.”
Harry is preparing for a busier schedule
While Meghan concentrates on family life, Harry is expected to take on a much more visible role in Britain.
The Duke of Sussex is due to attend this month’s WellChild Awards, continuing his long-standing involvement with the organisation.
He is also expected to have a series of engagements in the UK, with his charitable work forming an important part of his schedule.
There have also been reports that Harry could carry out a skydive for military charities, following a promise he made to Ed Marshall, 102, during a visit to Toronto, Canada, last November.
That would add another high-profile appearance to a period in which Harry is becoming increasingly active in Britain.
Meghan’s acting plans remain in focus
While she steps back from public appearances, Meghan’s professional plans have not disappeared.
She remains in talks over a possible role in The Gentlemen, the Guy Ritchie series, with production on the third series expected to begin soon.
The discussions have attracted attention because the potential acting role would mark Meghan’s return to scripted television. Reports from August said talks about a role were still at an early stage, with no details of the character publicly confirmed.
For now, however, her immediate attention appears to be elsewhere.
With Archie and Lilibet adjusting to their new surroundings, Meghan is expected to put family responsibilities ahead of a busy schedule of public appearances.
A quieter start to the family’s new life
The Sussexes’ move back to Britain has generated considerable interest, but Meghan’s approach so far has been notably private.
While Harry prepares to resume a series of public and charitable engagements, Meghan appears intent on giving her children time to settle into their new home and schools before returning to the spotlight.
The family’s recent visits to Althorp and the Scottish Highlands have offered only limited glimpses of their life in Britain.
For the moment, Meghan’s priority is understood to be making that transition as smooth as possible for Archie and Lilibet.
