Savannah Guthrie Finally Resurfaces After TODAY Co-Hosts Revealed She Was Taking A “Much-Needed Break” — And Her First Glimpse Away From The Studio Has Fans Looking Twice. After weeks away from the familiar morning-show desk, Savannah has offered viewers a rare look at how she’s spending her time off, quickly sparking reactions from longtime fans. But it’s one detail about her appearance away from the cameras that has become the real talking point, offering a very different picture of the TODAY anchor when the alarm clocks, studio lights and live-TV pressure disappear.

Savannah Guthrie has resurfaced in public after unexpectedly stepping away from her regular duties on Today for several days, making an appearance at the U.S. Open in New York alongside her husband, Michael Feldman.

The longtime NBC anchor was spotted Tuesday at Arthur Ashe Stadium in Queens, where she appeared in good spirits as she posed for photos ahead of the tennis matches. Savannah wore a form-fitting floral dress with heels and styled her brunette hair half up, looking polished and relaxed as she made her way into the venue with her husband.

Her appearance came after viewers noticed her absence from Today throughout the week. Savannah, who normally anchors the first two hours of the morning program with Craig Melvin, was replaced by Kristen Welker while she took time away from the show.

Craig had previously indicated that Savannah was taking a “much-needed” break, but neither he nor NBC offered many details about why she was away or exactly when she would return to the anchor desk.

Kristen Welker appeared alongside Craig on Monday, while Carson Daly later stepped in as Craig also took time away from the program. Welker even appeared to hint that she would remain involved with Today for a little while longer.

Savannah’s latest break comes after she has already taken several periods away from the morning show this year. In July, she traveled to the West Coast to film NBC’s Wordle, the new game show she hosts.

But her absence also comes during a much more emotional chapter in her personal life. Savannah has spent months coping with the disappearance of her 84-year-old mother, Nancy Guthrie, who vanished from her home in Tucson, Arizona, on Feb. 1.

Nancy has still not been located. Investigators have received multiple ransom notes claiming to contain information about her whereabouts, although police have not made any arrests and the investigation remains active.

Earlier this month, Savannah made an emotional plea for anyone with information connected to the ransom notes to come forward. She has also previously spoken about wanting her mother to be brought home so the family can give her a proper farewell.

Against that difficult backdrop, Savannah’s appearance at the U.S. Open offered a noticeably lighter moment. She smiled for photographers and appeared comfortable while attending the major tennis event with her husband.

For now, there has been no indication that Savannah is leaving Today. Her latest absence appears to be another temporary break, although NBC has not specified exactly when she will return to the morning show’s anchor desk.
