Fans won’t have to wait too much longer to see Kelly Ripa back on Live With Kelly and Mark.

Ripa has been missing from the daytime talk show since July 27, as she is currently recovering from a recent gum graft surgery. Several celebrities appeared on the show as Mark Consuelos‘ guest host last week, including Kevin Jonas, Mila Kunis, Pamela Adlon, and Scott Foley.

Ripa’s break continued into this week, with Scrubs star Sarah Chalke serving as Consuelos’ guest host on Monday, August 3. Jenna Dewan joined Consuelos on Tuesday, August 4, while Live emcee Déjà Vu co-hosted the show on Wednesday, August 5. While most of last week’s episodes aired live, this week’s episodes have all been prerecorded.

As for when Ripa will be back in the Live studio? According to People, Ripa will be back on the small screen on Monday, August 10. Ripa’s return, however, comes with a catch. Starting on Monday, episodes airing through Labor Day will be prerecorded, as the show’s cast and crew enjoy their annual summer break. The episodes will feature pre-taped conversations between Ripa and Consuelos and new segments, as well as air previous interviews with celebrity guests.

Following the few weeks of prerecorded episodes, Ripa and Consuelos will be back for new, live episodes of the show on Tuesday, September 8, per the outlet. The episode will mark both the show’s Season 39 premiere and Ripa’s first official post-surgery episode.

Consuelos broke news of Ripa’s surgery during the show’s July 27 episode. “Her dentist said five years ago, ‘You can do it in about five years.’ And she joked, ‘I didn’t think I’d still be on the air in five years,’” he told Jonas. (Per the Cleveland Clinic, gum graft surgery is used to treat thinning and receding gums and can take multiple weeks to recover from.)

Consuelos noted that as part of her recovery, Ripa is not allowed to talk. “Wow. That’s gotta be the hardest thing that she’s ever done,” Jonas quipped at the time. Consuelos went on to share, “There’s a list of things that you’re not allowed to do — talking, she has to eat soft food, you can’t suck out of a straw. You can’t examine it, which means pulling down the lip. And so, last night, she’s like, ‘Can you look?’ I’m like, ‘I’m not pulling your lip down.’”

Consuelos also confirmed that the procedure was “painful” for his wife, stating, “She famously doesn’t feel pain. When she goes into the dentist, she doesn’t really use the Novocain. But this one hurts, so I know it’s bad.”

Fans sent their well wishes to Ripa via social media last week. “I had this surgery twice as the first didn’t take, NOT FUN,” one user commented underneath a clip on the show’s Instagram page. Another added, “I hope she’s feeling better soon. I have to say I have enjoyed Kevin Jonas being there.”

Someone else shared, “We love you @kellyripa we wish you the best in your recovery.” A different person posted, “We miss you but make sure all is well before returning.” A separate commenter stated, “Had the same surgery. Take care and get well soon. Take care.”
