Eugenie Just Delivered The Blow Harry And Meghan Feared. Princess Eugenie’s Latest Move Has Been Framed As A Brutal Snub To The Sussexes, While Prince William Could Quietly Be The Biggest Winner.

Prince Harry’s Royal Support Network Is Reportedly Shrinking — As Beatrice and Eugenie Are Said to Move Closer to William

Prince Harry and Princess Eugenie's close relationship remains intact, despite recent reports suggesting a falling-out.

Prince Harry may have returned to Britain hoping to rebuild some of the relationships he left behind, but reports suggest one of his most dependable royal connections is no longer what it once was.

The Duke of Sussex remains estranged from Prince William, while his relationship with King Charles is widely described as strained.

For years, however, Harry appeared able to count on his cousins Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, particularly Eugenie, who was considered one of the relatives closest to both Harry and Meghan Markle.

Now that relationship is reportedly cooling too.

Royal sources claim the York sisters have increasingly distanced themselves from the Sussexes, raising fresh questions about just how many allies Harry still has inside the Royal Family.

Eugenie was once one of Harry and Meghan’s closest royal allies

Princess Eugenie had long appeared to occupy a unique position within Harry and Meghan’s circle.

She was reportedly among the earliest members of the Royal Family to know about their relationship and later became one of the few relatives to visit the couple after they relocated to California.

That closeness made her relationship with the Sussexes particularly significant as Harry’s ties with other members of the family deteriorated.

But insiders now claim the bond is no longer as strong.

One source alleged that Beatrice and Eugenie are no longer maintaining the same contact with Harry, despite Eugenie once being exceptionally close to him.

There has been no public confirmation from either princess that they have deliberately ended their relationship with the Sussexes.

Royal commentator says the York sisters know where their future lies

Royal commentator Natasha Cannell described the apparent lack of contact between the sisters and the Sussexes as significant.

She suggested Beatrice and Eugenie may be increasingly conscious of maintaining their place within the wider Royal Family.

“They know which side their bread is buttered,” Cannell said.

In her view, remaining closely aligned with Harry and Meghan could create difficulties for the sisters at a time when their own position within the monarchy remains delicate.

Their father, Prince Andrew, has become increasingly isolated from public royal life, leaving Beatrice and Eugenie in a complicated position.

Cannell argued that preserving strong relationships with senior royals could therefore be especially important to them.

She went so far as to suggest the sisters may now be more closely aligned with William than Harry.

That interpretation remains commentary rather than a confirmed account of the princesses’ private relationships.

Harry’s return to Britain creates a new social challenge

The reported shift comes as Harry and Meghan begin another chapter in Britain after years based primarily in California.

Speculation has surrounded their search for a home in the Cotswolds, although details of any permanent purchase remain unconfirmed.

For Harry, returning to the UK does not automatically mean returning to the social and royal world he once knew.

Much has changed since the Sussexes stepped back from senior royal duties in 2020.

Friendships have evolved, family loyalties have shifted, and the public disputes that followed their departure have left lasting consequences.

One source claimed Harry has relatively few close friends remaining from his earlier life in Britain and may now have to work hard to rebuild a social circle.

“They’re going to have to make some serious social inroads and gatherings to get back in the fold,” the source said.

The fallout from 2020 still hangs over Harry

When Harry and Meghan announced their decision to step back as senior working royals in January 2020, they said they intended to become financially independent while continuing to support Queen Elizabeth II.

The move ultimately led them away from Britain and into a new life in North America.

What followed was anything but quiet.

Harry and Meghan gave major interviews about their royal experience, participated in a Netflix documentary series and pursued separate media projects.

Harry also published his memoir Spare, which contained deeply personal accounts of his relationships with King Charles and Prince William.

Those disclosures further damaged already fragile family relationships.

Harry’s dispute with William became one of the defining stories of the post-royal years, and there has been little public evidence of a meaningful reconciliation.

Harry’s popularity has also suffered

Alongside the family tensions, Harry has experienced a significant decline in public support in Britain.

The article cites recent polling that placed his net favourability rating at -16.

While individual polls can vary depending on methodology and timing, the broader pattern has been clear: Harry is far more polarising in Britain than he was before leaving royal duties.

His public criticism of the institution, combined with highly personal revelations about family members, has divided opinion.

Supporters argue that he had the right to explain his experiences.

Critics believe he damaged private family relationships while continuing to trade on his royal identity.

That tension now forms part of the difficult environment surrounding any attempt to reintegrate into British life.

Sentebale controversy added another complication

Harry has also faced criticism beyond the Royal Family.

Dr Sophie Chandauka, who was previously involved with Sentebale, the charity founded by Harry and Prince Seeiso of Lesotho in 2006, publicly criticised the Sussex brand and described it as “toxic.”

Sentebale was established to support vulnerable children and young people in Southern Africa, particularly those affected by HIV, poverty and inequality.

The dispute created another uncomfortable chapter for Harry, whose charitable work had long been one of the strongest elements of his public image.

The criticism intensified questions about the wider Sussex brand at a time when Harry was already navigating damaged family relationships and declining popularity.

Sarah Ferguson has also offered a pointed view

Sarah Ferguson, mother of Beatrice and Eugenie, has previously spoken about the difficulty of trying to remain partly connected to royal life after stepping away from it.

Her comments were widely interpreted as relevant to Harry and Meghan’s situation.

“You can’t have it both ways,” she said.

“You can’t sit on the fence and keep one foot in and one foot out. You’re either in or out.”

Ferguson herself has experienced long periods of both proximity to and exclusion from royal life, making her remarks particularly striking.

Whether they were intended as a direct message to Harry and Meghan or a broader observation, they reflected one of the central criticisms that has followed the Sussexes since 2020.

Harry may now have fewer royal bridges than before

For years, Beatrice and especially Eugenie appeared to represent a rare bridge between Harry and the family he left behind.

If the reported cooling of those relationships is accurate, that bridge may now be much weaker.

There is no public evidence that Beatrice or Eugenie have formally “chosen” William over Harry, and claims of a complete split should be treated cautiously.

But the absence of the visible closeness once associated with Eugenie and the Sussexes has inevitably attracted attention.

Harry’s return to Britain therefore comes with a challenge that extends well beyond finding a house or settling his family.

He may also have to navigate a royal landscape in which old friendships can no longer be assumed.

The brother he once stood beside throughout his life remains estranged.

His relationship with his father is still complicated.

And even the cousins once considered among his safest allies are now reportedly keeping their distance.

For Harry, coming back to Britain may prove much easier than finding his way back into the circle he left behind.
