Bunnie Xo Says She’s “Thriving” Two Months After Jelly Roll Divorce And Her New Life Is Moving Fast

Two months after her divorce from Jelly Roll became public, Bunnie Xo is making it clear that she is not looking backward.
During an appearance on TODAY with Jenna Bush Hager and Sheinelle Jones, the Dumb Blonde podcast host opened up about life after the end of her marriage, her bestselling memoir Stripped Down, its upcoming movie adaptation and the surprising opportunities now unfolding around her.
Her attitude? Surprisingly upbeat.
“Ladies, they should have never let me back out in the streets because I love it here.”
Bunnie joked that she has entered a completely different chapter of her life — one where she is prioritizing herself and embracing everything that comes next.
“I’m having the freaking time of my life”

Rather than allowing the highly publicized split to define her, Bunnie said the experience has pushed her to focus more heavily on herself.
She encouraged other women not to lose themselves while taking care of partners, children or friends, arguing that sometimes putting yourself first can be necessary.
For Bunnie, that mindset appears to have changed how she views the divorce.
She described the situation as “beautifully tragic,” but said she believes there is always a silver lining and something better waiting ahead.
And judging by her comments, she has plenty keeping her occupied.
Her memoir Stripped Down is being developed into a movie, she has signed a new deal with Audacy, and she is preparing to return to school.
Bunnie jokes about a “boy buffet”
Bunnie also offered a playful glimpse into her newly single life.
While describing her current era as a “baddie Bunnie summer,” she joked that she has received plenty of messages from potential love interests.
Her verdict?
A “boy buffet.”
She said she has gotten her smile back and is enjoying meeting new people while continuing to build her career.
“I’m just thriving.”
The comments give a very different impression from the intense speculation that surrounded the couple when news of their divorce first emerged.
Her memoir is becoming a movie
“I’m having the freaking time of my life and I’m just thriving. And I never thought that it would turn out to be such a blessing, but it’s such a blessing and I’m so thankful.”
One of the biggest developments in Bunnie’s new chapter is the planned film adaptation of Stripped Down, her New York Times bestselling memoir.
She admitted she was stunned when she learned her story would be turned into a movie and joked that she would like to see Danny McBride portray her.
For someone who has spent years turning deeply personal experiences into content, the adaptation represents another major step in her career.
And she isn’t stopping there.
Bunnie is heading back to school
Bunnie also revealed that she will be attending Arizona State University online.
She hasn’t disclosed exactly what she plans to study, but she hinted that her education will connect to her interest in women’s hormones and her long-term goal of creating a line of biochemical hormone products.
Her interest comes partly from her own experience with IVF, which she said made her realize how much more discussion is needed around women’s hormonal health.
The goal, she suggested, is to turn a difficult personal experience into something that could eventually help other women.
Divorce hasn’t ended her plans for motherhood
Despite the end of her marriage to Jelly Roll, Bunnie said she still wants to have a baby.
She revealed that her continuing journey toward motherhood will become part of her next book, describing the experience as an extremely difficult one.
Jelly Roll and Bunnie first met in 2015 at one of his concerts in Las Vegas and married on August 31, 2016. Their divorce filing became public in June after reports that Jelly Roll had filed in Tennessee in May.
Sources described the decision as mutual and a private family matter.
Now, just two months later, Bunnie appears determined to make the next chapter about who she is becoming rather than what ended.
And if her latest comments are any indication, she’s already enjoying the freedom.
