Netflix fans are “on the edge of their seats” after watching the first trailer for The Whisper Man.
Netflix has finally dropped the trailer for The Whisper Man, a horror film about an eight-year-old boy’s abduction with connections to a decades-old case to a convicted serial killer.
The film sees the boy’s dad Tom Kennedy (played by Adam Scott) get back in touch with his estranged father and retired detective Pete Willis (Robert De Niro) to find the youngster as well as the truth.
The Whisper Man is set to be released on Friday, August 28, so there isn’t too long left before author Alex North’s best-selling novel remake is finally ready to stream.
What’s even more exciting about the trailer’s debut is that it teases the film’s impressive cast.
Heading up the cast as dad Tom is Adam Scott, best known for his roles in Severance and Parks and Recreation.
He is joined by Hollywood legend Robert De Niro, who plays his estranged father and retired Detective Inspector Pete Willis.
Further recognisable faces alongside Scott and De Niro include True Detective actress Michelle Monaghan, Fantastic Four star Hamish Linklater and The OA’s Will Brill, among others.
The trailer may have just come out but Netflix subscribers are already buzzing for The Whisper Man to be released.
Flocking to YouTube’s comments section, one viewer wrote: “The book had me on the edge of my seat. I can’t wait to watch this.”
