Princess Catherine’s ‘Serious’ Approach to Becoming Queen Revealed by Royal Expert

Princess Catherine is taking her future role as Queen extremely seriously — and a royal expert claims her influence over the monarchy’s direction is far greater than many members of the public realise.
The Princess of Wales has become one of the most prominent and closely watched members of the Royal Family, with millions following her public engagements, charitable work and appearances alongside Prince William.
But according to royal biographer Russell Myers, there is an important side of Catherine’s role that often goes unnoticed.
Myers, author of the bestselling biography William & Catherine: The Intimate Inside Story, believes the Princess is deeply invested not only in her current position but also in the future of the monarchy she is preparing to lead alongside William.
He claims the couple have developed a strong working partnership in which they regularly discuss everything from major ambitions to the smallest details of the projects they support.

Their close collaboration, Myers suggests, could prove particularly important when William eventually becomes King and Catherine takes on the role of Queen.
“What many people aren’t aware of is how invested Catherine has always been, not only in her role and the effect she can have as the Princess of Wales and as a future queen, but also in the monarchy’s future direction,” Myers said.
“This is why she has been integral in shaping the causes they have both aligned themselves with.”
The comments offer an insight into how seriously Catherine is reportedly approaching the enormous responsibility that awaits her.
Rather than simply preparing to step into a ceremonial position, the Princess is said to have taken a keen interest in the causes she and William champion and the broader impact they can have through their work.
Myers also highlighted the mutual support between the Prince and Princess of Wales, suggesting their partnership extends well beyond their public appearances.

William and Catherine are understood to discuss their plans closely, weighing up everything from their overarching ambitions to the “finer details” of individual projects.
That united approach could become increasingly significant as the couple move closer to the future roles they are destined to occupy.
Catherine has already established a distinct public profile through her focus on issues including early childhood development, mental health and family wellbeing.

According to Myers, however, the significance of that work goes beyond individual campaigns.
Her involvement in choosing and shaping the causes she supports reflects a much broader interest in what the monarchy could look like in the years ahead.
And as the future Queen, that long-term vision could ultimately become one of Catherine’s most important contributions to the Royal Family.
