Travis Tritt Reveals Pneumonia Diagnosis After Feeling Sick for Two Weeks — as Two Shows Are Postponed While the Country Star Recovers
Travis Tritt is taking an unexpected break from the road after discovering the weakness and sluggishness he’d been experiencing were signs of something more serious.
The 63-year-old country star revealed that he has been diagnosed with pneumonia, forcing him to postpone two concerts while he focuses on recovering.
What surprised Tritt most was how long he’d apparently been dealing with the illness.
According to the Anymore singer, doctors told him the pneumonia had already been present for approximately two weeks before he knew what was wrong.
“I just knew I felt a bit weak and sluggish,” he told fans.

Tritt shared the health update with followers on social media, explaining that he received the diagnosis earlier in the week.
“I’m sorry to report that I was diagnosed with pneumonia earlier this week,” he wrote.
The diagnosis helped explain why he hadn’t been feeling like himself.
“Turns out that the pneumonia was actually present for the past 2 weeks, but I didn’t know it, because I’ve never had it before.”
Until seeing a doctor, Tritt said he only knew that he was feeling unusually weak and sluggish.
The illness meant continuing with his immediate touring schedule was no longer possible.
Two Shows Had to Be Postponed
Tritt was scheduled to perform in Macon, Georgia, on September 25, followed by another concert in Charleston, South Carolina, on September 26.
Both shows were postponed.
Fans in Charleston won’t have to wait too long for the replacement date.
That concert has been rescheduled for November 14, 2026.
The wait will be considerably longer for fans in Macon, where Tritt’s rescheduled performance is now set for April 22, 2027.
Anyone who already purchased tickets won’t need to replace them.
“All tickets already purchased will be valid for the new dates,” Tritt assured fans.
He Expects to Return Quickly
Despite the diagnosis, Tritt sounded optimistic about his recovery.
Rather than suggesting he would be away from the stage for an extended period, the singer told followers he expected the interruption to be relatively short.
“I fully expect to be back in the saddle next week,” he wrote. “Thanks for understanding!”
His next scheduled appearance is Friday, October 2, at the Country Calling Festival in Ocean City, Maryland.
The festival lineup also includes Rascal Flatts, Dierks Bentley and Lainey Wilson, among others.
According to the source, Tritt is scheduled to continue touring through the middle of November before taking several months away from the road.
His touring schedule is expected to resume in March 2027.

News of Tritt’s pneumonia diagnosis quickly brought supportive messages from fans.
Many encouraged the singer not to rush his recovery simply to get back onstage.

For now, however, the stage can wait.
After spending roughly two weeks feeling weak without realizing he was battling pneumonia, Tritt finally has an explanation — and is giving himself time to recover.
The two postponed concerts already have replacement dates, previously purchased tickets remain valid, and Tritt is optimistic that his absence won’t last long.
