Good Morning Britain viewers were left unimpressed by the ITV programme’s coverage of the solar eclipse. Weather presenter Laura Tobin returned to screens with elation about the once-in-a-generation movement. Laura enthusiastically revealed: “I watched in my back garden, I had my Charlotte, and we watched in my back garden.” She added: “As soon as we put on our glasses, she was mesmerised. I guess it didn’t get as dim as people might have thought, but definitely the animals went quiet.”
Despite the meteorologist’s excitement, presenter Ranvir Singh admitted to being “underwhelmed” by the solar eclipse. She explained: “I don’t mean it in a scientific way. I mean, wherever I was, I don’t know if it got cloudy, I don’t know what happened.” As the TV stars continued to share their thoughts, viewers quickly took to social media to lash out, with one asking, “Is there any news?” As another complained: “One minute climate change is going to be wetter summers, next minute it’s getting hotter by the year. These clowns are making it up as they go along.”

A third fumed: “Could @GMB be any more boring….weather, weather, nurses collapsing on wards….oh do f**k off. And get those 2 ridiculous commentators off….that one on the left says the same things every time she is on.”
“It was a complete non-event. What an over hyped load of rubbish,” another remarked.
