Zara Tindall BREAKS Cover In Germany… Her Rare Royal Appearance Has Everyone Looking Twice! Zara Tindall has made a rare public appearance in Germany alongside Queen Mary and Princess Amalia, instantly drawing attention from royal watchers. The unexpected gathering brings together three prominent royal figures in a glamorous equestrian setting, but it was Zara’s appearance—and the details surrounding the event—that really caught the eye. A rare royal reunion, an unexpected setting and one appearance that has sparked far more intrigue than anyone anticipated.

Zara Tindall, Queen Mary of Denmark and Princess Catharina-Amalia of the Netherlands joined a plethora of glamorous royals at a prestigious equestrian event in Germany yesterday.

The European royals were accompanied by the daughter of Princess Anne for the opening gala of the 2026 FEI World Championships in Aachen, two decades after Zara claimed a gold medal at the same venue in 2006.

More than 800 athletes and horses compete for world titles at the event which takes place every four years and covers six different categories: Jumping, Dressage, Eventing, Para Dressage, Driving and Vaulting.

Taking a short break from the Royal Family‘s annual summer holiday, Zara, 45, opted for a tux jumpsuit in the shade Noir from fashion brand Frame, which she paired with Finlay and Co’s Tavistock champagne sunglasses, which retail for £160.

Catharina-Amalia, 22, meanwhile, exuded sophistication in a £214 striped dress from Spanish label Nina Blanc. Paired with Elie Saab’s Petit Wave Bag in Emerald, the princess tied the look together with a pair of Gianvito 105 Green Leaf Suede Pumps.

Eagle-eyed royal fans also noted that the Princess of Orange proudly displayed her arm scar that she obtained after undergoing surgery last year after she was thrown off her horse.

It drew comparisons to Princess Eugenie, who also has a long scar on her back from a procedure she had aged 12 to help treat her scoliosis – and was intentionally visible on her wedding day in 2018.

Catharina-Amalia had also proudly showed the mark as she officially opened the championships – a profound recognition of her marked love for the sport and confidence, in spite of the accident.

On Tuesday, Queen Mary, 54, appeared effortlessly elegant as she arrived at the event in a Diane von Furstenberg halter neck polka dot top and skirt, alongside a simple yet stylish Dolce and Gabbana Brown Leather Crystal belt.

To finish off the look, the royal opted for a pair of Christian Louboutin bronze leather pumps, earrings from Dulong Fine Jewellery and a Rebekka Notkin gold bracelet.

Contributing to the acclaimed royal guest list was 82-year-old Princess Benedikte of Denmark, the sister of Queen Margrethe and patron of the World Breeding Federation of Sport Horses and Danish Equestrian Federation.

Representing the Spanish Royal Family, Infanta Elena opted for a glamorous blue shirt and floral trousers, which she paired with an elegant white jacket and striking red brooch.

The event will see stables representing the Netherlands, Denmark and Great Britain compete in the event which runs at Allianz Park from August 11 to 23.

Zara’s attendance at the equestrian event corresponds with the royal’s life-long love of horses.

The royal won a team silver medal in eventing at the London 2012 Olympic Games and her mother Anne beamed as she presented the medal to her daughter.

In 2006, Zara took home a gold medal at the World Equestrian Games, the same year she was awarded an MBE and became BBC Sports Personality of the Year.

This was followed by a team silver medal at the World Equestrian Games in Normandy in 2014.

In April this year, Zara beamed as she got in the saddle for the Barbury Horse Trials at Sharpridge Farm in Marlborough.

Princess Anne’s daughter beamed as she took part in the equestrian event with her trusty steed Showtime.

She was sporty in her navy and white riding uniform, including a helmet and boots.

Her love of horses was passed down through the family, with her late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, famously having a strong connection with horse racing.

Princess Anne was the first from the British Royal Family to compete in the Olympic games.

The princess had been set to compete in the 1972 Munich Games, but her hopes were dashed when horse Doublet was injured during a training run.

Luckily, Anne was able to hand the torch down to her daughter, Zara, who won a silver medal when she competed in London in 2012.

She missed out on the 2004 Athens games and Beijing 2008 due to injuries but made up for her past absence when the competition came to England.

But Zara made her family proud when she and her 11-year-old horse, High Kingdom, brought a medal home for Team GB.

Her proud husband, Mike Tindall, said at the time: ‘That Olympic silver, in my book, is right up there with my World Cup medal, if not above it, because it was won at the London Games with so much expectation and pressure.

‘When England won the World Cup we were favourites to do so. Team GB’s eventing silver wasn’t expected, so to produce that collective performance was outstanding.

‘Sure, there were tiny margins between gold and silver, just as Jonny Wilkinson’s drop-goal proved to be the tiny margin that won the World Cup.

‘But for me the Olympics is the No 1 sporting occasion in the world and Zara and the team smashed it.’
