Meghan Markle celebrates as her brand As Ever launches
Meghan Markle was criticised by fans for being “fake” and “pretentious” after her latest message. The Duchess of Sussex sent a new message to her fans and customers for her lifestyle brand, As Ever, on Thursday evening, talking about her “summer in the garden”. Meghan spoke about her “simple pleasures” that happen during the season, including fresh flowers in the morning, herbs for the table and fresh fruit.
The message read: “There is a certain rhythm to summer: The first flowers opening in the morning. Herbs gathered for the table. Fruit ripening in the warmth of the day. So many of our products in the As ever collection began with an appreciation for these simple pleasures, what we planted and grew in our backyard, and the joy that has come from sharing them.

“This season, we’re bringing fresh ingredients to the table, lingering outdoors a little longer, and making sure that we take the time to find the beauty in everyday moments.”
The message was accompanied by a new picture of the duchess in a blue blouse sniffing a while flower.
But some fans were not impressed with the polished tone of the message and took to social media to express their views.
One user who shared pictures of As Ever’s newsletter, blasted on X: “Who talks like that?! Seriously!”
Another one said: “Good grief! How fake and pretentious”
A third one commented: “Who gardens in diamonds???? Who can grow all the ingredients for her food line in their backyard. WAKE UP PEOPLE. FAKE FAKE FAKE.”
A fourth one joked: “I guess I forget to take out my herbs to warm by the sun in the summertime.”
A fifth one said: “I got a migraine after reading it.”
A sixth one blasted: “No one talks like that.”
The Duchess had a new launch this summer – blackberry spread, which is now available to purchase on her website.
