Olivia Attwood And Pete Wicks Turned Their NTAs Appearance Into A Hilariously Awkward On-Stage Exchange, Trading Cheeky Swipes In Front Of The Entire Audience.

The couple, who 'hard launched' their relationship on social media just weeks ago, kissed as they made their red carpet debut at the O2 Arena on Tuesday evening

Olivia Attwood and Pete Wicks made their first National Television Awards appearance as a couple impossible to miss, sharing a kiss on the red carpet before taking their new romance onto the stage with a string of cheeky jokes.

The pair, who publicly confirmed their relationship only weeks ago, arrived at London’s O2 Arena on Tuesday night and quickly became one of the ceremony’s most talked-about couples.

Later, while presenting the Daytime award together, they leaned into the attention surrounding their relationship — with Pete joking that he had finally landed his very own “Loose Woman.”

Olivia Attwood and her boyfriend made light of their blossoming romance as they exchanged flirty banter while presenting a National Television Award together

The evening marked the first time Olivia, 35, and Pete, 37, had appeared together on an NTA red carpet since confirming their romance.

Pete was working the carpet alongside his friend Sam Thompson when Olivia approached the pair.

She greeted Sam with a hug before turning to Pete and kissing him in front of the cameras.

Sam could only laugh and cheer from nearby as he found himself playing third wheel to the couple’s public display of affection.

The official National Television Awards Instagram account later shared the moment with the caption: “Red carpet chemistry!”

Even Olivia admitted the encounter had not felt quite as smooth as it looked, commenting: “Guys why was this so awkward.”

Fans, however, appeared delighted to see the couple together and flooded the post with supportive messages about their new relationship.

Hits Radio also joined in, joking that Sam was “the happiest third wheel we’ve ever seen.”

Their romance became part of the ceremony

This year, the gong was awarded to This Morning, as they retained the achievement after also taking home the accolade at the 2025 ceremony

The teasing continued once Olivia and Pete stepped onto the stage to present the Daytime category.

Host Joel Dommett introduced them with a joke of his own, describing theirs as the “relationship that everyone saw coming.”

The pair were greeted with enthusiastic applause before Olivia immediately turned the attention onto Pete.

“This is a good category for us to present,” she said. “Everyone knows Pete Wicks loves a loose woman.”

Pete briefly pretended to take offence before delivering the punchline.

“I love them so much that I got my very own…”

Olivia responded with a mock-unimpressed look before eventually breaking into a smile.

It was a deliberately playful reference to her role as a panellist on Loose Women and to Pete’s long-running reputation for a complicated romantic history.

This Morning wins the Daytime award

Once the jokes were over, Olivia and Pete read out the nominees.

The category included Good Morning Britain, James Martin’s Saturday Morning, Loose Women, Scam Interceptors and This Morning.

The award ultimately went to This Morning, which retained the title after returning to the top of the category in 2025.

The programme had previously enjoyed an extraordinary 12-year winning streak from 2011 to 2022 before losing to The Repair Shop in 2023 and The Chase the following year.

Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley headed to the stage alongside Friday presenters Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary and members of the production team.

Before beginning his thank-you speech, Ben took a moment to acknowledge the couple who had just handed them the award.

“We’re excited about the hard launch of Pete and Liv, even more so now,” he said.

Cat added: “We love Pete and Liv.”

The comments ensured that even after leaving the stage, Olivia and Pete’s relationship remained part of the night’s conversation.

The couple only recently confirmed their relationship

Earlier in the evening, Olivia and Pete made sure to give the fans what they wanted as they shared a passionate smooch

Their appearance at the NTAs came after months of speculation about whether their friendship had become romantic.

Olivia and Pete first met in 2017 and developed a close friendship long before they became a couple.

Their relationship changed this year following the breakdown of Olivia’s marriage to footballer Bradley Dack.

As speculation grew, the pair were repeatedly seen together and shared several affectionate moments that fuelled rumours.

Olivia eventually confirmed the relationship through a collection of loved-up Instagram photographs, joking that followers had “bullied me into hard launching.”

The phrase quickly became part of the public narrative around the couple — and was repeatedly referenced during their appearance at the NTAs.

Only days before the awards, Olivia had posted another collection of photographs from a date with Pete.

One image showed her leaning across his knees, while another captured Pete wrapping his arms around her.

She captioned the pictures: “Went on a date with Pete Wicks from Towie can’t believe it he’s so hot in real life too xxxx.”

The post arrived shortly after Olivia admitted that she was trying to become better at “not oversharing,” making the affectionate update particularly amusing to some of her followers.

By the time they arrived at the O2, however, there appeared to be little interest in keeping their relationship low-key.

Their NTA appearance completed the ‘hard launch’

The National Television Awards themselves were held at The O2 on September 8, with Joel Dommett returning as host for a sixth year. ITV billed the ceremony as one of British television’s biggest public-voted celebrations, broadcast live on ITV1 and ITVX.

For Olivia and Pete, though, the evening became something of a public milestone of its own.

They arrived as a couple, kissed for the cameras, joked about their romance on stage and then watched as the winners themselves joined in with the teasing.

Only weeks after finally confirming what fans had suspected for months, their first major awards appearance together left little ambiguity about where their relationship now stands.
