Meghan Markle’s career has been savaged by cooking legend Martha Stewart. Stewart, who Meghan has been accused of copying before, said it must be hard transitioning from an actress, to a royal, and then a “homemaking guru”. The 85-year-old’s comments come after she was recently at a dinner party in California also attended by Meghan Markle.
The cooking legend revealed her true feelings on Meghan entering a similar industry to her with her cooking show “With Love, Meghan”. The show had two seasons released last year and a festive episode. It has not been renewed for a third season.

Stewart told People: “I had dinner with Meghan Markle the other night. We were both guests at a dinner party in California. And she had just gotten back from the palace.
“I didn’t talk to her really more than to say a couple words, but I know she was talking about it.”
When asked about Meghan’s cooking show, Stewart said: “If you’re an actress, it’s hard to then transition to a princess and then from a princess into a homemaking guru on a television show.
“It doesn’t sort of follow. So go from there.”

This is not the first time the cooking legend has been asked about Meghan. Last year, during an interview with Access Hollywood, Stewart was asked whether she had watched the duchess’ cooking show.
At the time, she said she “hadn’t watched it yet”. She said: “I’ll watch an episode and see how she does. I’m curious.”

She also didn’t seem to mind being an influence to Meghan Markle career-wise when asked about this by Yahoo Australia. This is believed to be regarding Meghan’s entry into the lifestyle and cooking industry.
Stewart said at the time: “Meghan I don’t really know very well, and I hope she knows what she’s talking about.
“Authenticity to me is everything. And to be authentic and knowledgeable about your subject matter is extremely important.”
