Piers Morgan is celebrating a major win for his digital media operation after an episode of The Royals Uncensored focusing heavily on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle became the most-watched installment in the show’s history.

Morgan announced the milestone on X on Tuesday, sharing the episode and congratulating the team behind the program.

“This latest episode of The Royals Uncensored is the most-viewed in the show’s history. Thanks for watching, and congrats to the team!” he wrote.

The record comes at an especially timely moment. The episode centered on one of the biggest royal stories currently generating debate: Harry and Meghan’s planned return to Britain after years of living in California.

Harry and Meghan’s return drives heated debate

Hosted by Jo Elvin, the episode brought together a panel of royal commentators to discuss what the Sussexes’ return could mean for both the couple and the wider Royal Family.

But one of the episode’s most striking moments came when Elvin revealed the result of a social-media poll asking viewers whether they wanted Harry and Meghan back in Britain.

According to the program, 88% of respondents said no.

“Look at that figure. 88% said no,” Elvin said.

The result was presented as an indication of the resistance the Sussexes could face as they attempt to establish themselves in Britain again.

The panel also discussed how their return could affect Prince William, whose relationship with his younger brother remains strained.

Morgan wastes little time reacting to Sussex return

The record audience represents a notable success for Morgan, whose name has become closely associated with outspoken commentary about Harry and Meghan.

After reports emerged that the Sussexes planned to leave California and spend an extended period in Britain, Morgan immediately weighed in.

“I may have to emigrate to the U.S.,” he joked.

He followed that comment with a much harsher prediction, claiming their return would produce “endless drama” and further media disputes involving the Royal Family.

Morgan has been one of Harry and Meghan’s most persistent public critics for years, frequently challenging their statements and decisions across television, social media and his own platforms.

According to his account, the taxi took Meghan to a party where she met Prince Harry. Morgan said Harry and Meghan subsequently had dinner together the following evening.

Morgan claimed he never heard from her again.

“That was the last I ever heard from Meghan Markle,” he said. “Meghan Markle ghosted me.”

He has repeatedly referenced that experience while discussing the duchess, although his sustained criticism of her has also led others to question whether the personal history influences his commentary.

The confrontation that ended Morgan’s time on ‘Good Morning Britain’

Perhaps the most famous example came on Good Morning Britain in 2021.

During an on-air discussion, presenter Alex Beresford directly challenged Morgan over his repeated attacks on Meghan.

Beresford acknowledged Morgan’s dislike of the duchess but argued that Meghan had been entitled to end their personal contact.

“I understand you’ve got a personal relationship with Meghan Markle or had one, and she cut you off,” Beresford said.

He then challenged Morgan over why he continued criticizing Meghan despite, in Beresford’s view, her not publicly targeting him after ending their contact.

Morgan responded by walking off the set.

The confrontation quickly became a major television story, and ITV subsequently announced that Morgan had decided to leave Good Morning Britain.
