Seeking Persephone Confirmed for Seasons 2 and 3 as the Lancaster Family Romance Continues

The story of Seeking Persephone is officially expanding beyond its original central couple.
After the four-part Regency romance introduced viewers to Persephone Lancaster and Adam Boyce, author Sarah M. Eden and Duke of Kielder star Jake Stormoen have confirmed that the story will continue with two more seasons. Season 2 will adapt Courting Miss Lancaster, while Season 3 will focus on Romancing Daphne.
The renewal means the Lancaster family will remain at the heart of the series, but the romantic focus will move from one sister to another. Adam and Persephone’s story may reach its natural conclusion, yet the Duke of Kielder is expected to remain part of the wider family narrative.
A four-episode romance becomes a larger Lancaster story
Seeking Persephone is adapted from Sarah M. Eden’s Lancaster Family novels.
The first season follows Persephone Lancaster as her family faces financial difficulties. Her circumstances lead to an unexpected marriage proposal from Adam Boyce, the intimidating and withdrawn Duke of Kielder.
Persephone initially turns him down, but eventually begins to consider what such a marriage could mean for her struggling family. What starts as a practical arrangement gradually develops into a genuine emotional connection between two people who could hardly seem more different.
Ryann Bailey plays Persephone, opposite Jake Stormoen as Adam. Toby-Alexander Smith portrays Harry Windover, while Catherine Hannay plays Athena Lancaster.
John Lyde directed the adaptation, with Eden herself handling the screenplay. Produced independently by a relatively small team working between Utah and England, the four-episode first season has attracted considerable interest from period-romance viewers.
IMDb currently gives the series a 7.6/10 rating based on roughly 4,900 ratings.
With that response, the story can now move beyond Persephone and introduce the romantic journeys of her sisters.
Season 2 turns the spotlight on Athena and Harry

The second season will follow Courting Miss Lancaster, the next book in Eden’s Lancaster Family series.
This time, Athena Lancaster becomes the central character, with Harry Windover at the center of her romantic storyline.
Harry already has feelings for Athena, but he believes his financial circumstances make him an unsuitable match for her. His situation becomes even more difficult when the Duke of Kielder asks him to assist in finding Athena a suitable husband.
Harry therefore finds himself in the painful position of helping the woman he loves look for someone else.
Rather than reveal his own feelings, he takes matters into his own hands by guiding Athena toward potential suitors he does not believe will win her affection.
The situation creates plenty of room for romantic tension and humor, while also introducing an emotional complication: Athena trusts Harry, but does not understand the real reason behind his actions.
Catherine Hannay is expected to return as Athena, with Toby-Alexander Smith also expected to reprise his role as Harry. Stormoen’s involvement in the renewal announcement also indicates that Adam will continue to have a place in the story.
The Duke of Kielder still has a role to play

Although Athena and Harry will take center stage in Season 2, Adam does not simply disappear after his romance with Persephone.
His marriage to Persephone has changed his relationship with the Lancaster family. He is now Athena’s brother-in-law and guardian, giving him a natural connection to the decisions surrounding her future.
That allows the series to keep Adam involved without simply repeating the storyline that defined Season 1.
Stormoen confirmed that there is still more to come for both the Lancaster family and the Duke.
Persephone may also remain connected to the larger family story, although full casting information for the upcoming seasons has not yet been revealed.
Season 3 introduces Daphne’s romance
The romantic focus will shift once again in Season 3.
Eden has confirmed that the third installment will be based on Romancing Daphne, the third novel in the Lancaster Family series.
Daphne Lancaster will take the lead this time.
Her journey differs from those of her sisters. As she prepares for her London Season, Daphne struggles with insecurity and worries that she lacks the confidence, social ease and beauty she sees in other women around her.
Her story brings her into contact with James Tilburn, whose renewed interest initially gives Daphne reason to hope for romance.
But as their relationship develops, complications surrounding motivation, money and trust begin to emerge.
Daphne’s story will therefore offer another distinct romantic conflict, rather than simply repeating the marriage-of-convenience dynamic of Persephone’s story or Harry’s complicated feelings for Athena.
Sarah M. Eden remains involved in the adaptations
Eden’s continued involvement is another important part of the upcoming seasons.
After adapting Seeking Persephone herself, she has confirmed that she will also write the screen adaptations of Courting Miss Lancaster and Romancing Daphne.
Her involvement keeps the new seasons closely connected to the original books and the characters she created.
Eden has acknowledged that bringing both a second and third season to the screen requires numerous production elements to fall into place. She has also indicated that further updates will be shared as development continues.
No release dates have been announced yet
While Seasons 2 and 3 are moving forward, viewers will have to wait for confirmation of when they will actually arrive.
There is currently no announced premiere date for either season, and no confirmed schedule for filming or release has been provided.
The storylines themselves, however, are clear.
Season 2 will adapt Courting Miss Lancaster, followed by Romancing Daphne in Season 3. The Duke of Kielder will also remain connected to the expanding Lancaster family narrative.
More Lancaster romances could follow

The story does not necessarily end with Daphne.
Eden’s Lancaster Family series continues beyond the first three books with Loving Lieutenant Lancaster and Charming Artemis. The wider collection also includes Christmas at Falstone Castle.
No further television seasons have been confirmed at this stage.
For now, though, the direction of Seeking Persephone is clear. Adam and Persephone introduced viewers to the Lancaster world, Athena and Harry are next in line for the central romance, and Daphne will follow with a story of her own.
Instead of extending a single love story indefinitely, the series is developing into a broader family romance — one where the Lancaster world remains familiar while a new couple takes center stage with each season.
