He walked onto the ACM Awards stage in a black Stetson and a denim shirt that left LITTLE to the imagination.

And by the time Riley Green was done, the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas needed a cold shower.

The 37-year-old ‘Voice’ coach — who is quickly becoming one of the HOTTEST names in country music — delivered a SMOLDERING performance of his latest hit ‘Change My Mind’ during Sunday night’s star-studded ceremony .

And fans are STILL recovering.

The Performance That BROKE the Internet

Taking the stage after performances from Miranda Lambert and Kacey Musgraves , Green proved why he’s the bad-boy of country music’s new generation .

Dressed in a muscle-baring denim shirt and his trademark black Stetson , the Alabama native launched into the ballad about the push-and-pull of a relationship you just can’t quit .

The song’s emotionally charged lyrics — ‘Girl, the second that you lose that dress / that’s the second that I second guess’ — had the audience hanging on every word .

But it was the BRIDGE that sent fans into FRENZY.

As the backing band played on, Green walked off the cabin-inspired set — complete with wood panelling and an antler chandelier — and approached a second microphone surrounded by the crowd .

‘His no-doubt swooning fans could better appreciate the song’s slow-burning heat,’ Billboard reported .

The Song That’s Taking Over Radio

‘Change My Mind’ — which Green co-wrote with Erik Dylan and Randy Montana — has been on a TEAR since its January release .

The track marked the biggest first-week add date of his career and has already become his fourth Top 40 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 .

Currently sitting at No. 34 (dated May 16), the song has spent 14 weeks on the chart and previously peaked at No. 27 .

It follows a string of hits including his two Ella Langley collaborations — ‘You Look Like You Love Me’ and ‘Don’t Mind If I Do’ — and his solo smash ‘Worst Way’ , a No. 20 hit in summer 2025 .

A Night of Wins — and Losses

Green entered the 61st ACM Awards with FOUR nominations under his belt: Male Artist of the Year, Album of the Year (for Don’t Mind If I Do (Deluxe) ), Music Event of the Year (for ‘Don’t Mind If I Do’ featuring Langley), and Artist-Songwriter of the Year .

It marked his first-ever nominations in the Male Artist and Album of the Year categories — a significant milestone for the rising star .

While he ultimately lost Artist-Songwriter of the Year to his duet partner Ella Langley (who went on to sweep ALL seven of her nominations, making history in the process ), his Music Event of the Year nomination proved victorious .

‘Don’t Mind If I Do’ — the duet with Langley — took home the trophy in a category stacked with heavy-hitters including Miranda Lambert & Chris Stapleton and Reba McEntire, Miranda Lambert & Lainey Wilson .

From ‘The Voice’ Coach to ACM Superstar

 

The 37-year-old Jacksonville, Alabama native has had a METEORIC rise over the past year.

In addition to his ACM success, Green was announced as a new coach on The Voice for its upcoming season — joining the ranks of country legends who have sat in the iconic red chairs .

His 2026 ACM performance also marked the latest in a string of high-profile appearances for the singer, who performed alongside Tucker Wetmore, Kane Brown, Dan + Shay, and Parker McCollum during the star-studded broadcast .

A Four-Time Career Winner

Despite coming up short in several categories this year, Green is NO stranger to ACM gold.

The singer is already a four-time career winner at the awards, including a win for Top New Male Vocalist in 2020 .

His and Langley’s first duet, ‘You Look Like You Love Me’ , won Single of the Year and Visual Media of the Year at the 2024 ceremony .
