Jenna Bush Hager Shares Rare Multigenerational Family Photos From Summer Vacation at the Bush Estate in Maine

Jenna Bush Hager is soaking up the final weeks of summer surrounded by several generations of her family.

On Sunday, Aug. 23, the 44-year-old Today co-host gave followers a glimpse inside a family getaway at the Bush estate in Kennebunkport, Maine, sharing a collection of photos featuring her children, husband Henry Hager, mother Laura Bush, twin sister Barbara Bush and niece Cora Georgia.

One photo brought three generations of the Bush family together outside the historic seaside property.

Jenna posed alongside her eldest daughter, Mila Laura, 13, while former first lady Laura Bush, 79, stood between granddaughters Mila and Poppy Louise. Barbara, 44, joined them while holding her 4-year-old daughter, Cora.

The six family members smiled together in front of the estate, with one of the property’s distinctive tall brick chimneys visible behind them.

The relaxed summer outfits matched the casual family atmosphere. Jenna wore a striped T-shirt with white pants and sandals, while Mila opted for a black dress. Laura wore a blue button-down shirt with beige pants, and Poppy appeared barefoot in a pink dress. Barbara wore a blue-and-white floral dress as she held Cora, who was also dressed in pink.

But the family portrait was only one part of Jenna’s vacation album.

Other photos showed her son Hal spending time near the water, Jenna and husband Henry taking a beach selfie, and another intimate mother-daughter moment.

Jenna and Henry share three children: daughters Mila and Poppy and son Hal. Barbara, meanwhile, shares daughter Cora and son Edward Finn with her husband, Craig Coyne.

Jenna gave the collection an appropriately nostalgic caption, borrowing a lyric from Taylor Swift’s “august” about summer slipping away and becoming a memory.

The sentiment captured the mood of the photos: a quiet family vacation filled with children, grandparents, siblings and simple moments by the Maine coast.

The getaway comes during a particularly family-focused month for Jenna.

Earlier in August, she celebrated Poppy’s birthday with a loving tribute on Instagram Stories, describing her daughter as vibrant, effervescent and the funniest person in any room.

The Maine vacation also follows another family trip Jenna documented in July. Those photos showed Jenna and Henry spending time with their three children at a pier, Hal fishing with his father from a boat and the family enjoying Fourth of July fireworks together.

This latest collection, however, offered followers something particularly special: a rare multigenerational glimpse of the Bush women together at a place that has been closely connected to their family for generations.

Rather than a polished public appearance, the photos captured Laura surrounded by her daughters and granddaughters, while Jenna and Barbara enjoyed an ordinary summer moment with their own children.

For Jenna, the images appeared to be less about where the family was vacationing and more about who was there with her — preserving one more August memory before summer slips away.
