ALEXIS MAC ALLISTER’S FATHER BREAKS SILENCE ON LIVERPOOL FUTURE — ‘WE HAVE A CONTRACT THAT IS VALID’

Alexis Mac Allister’s father has moved to shut down speculation that the Liverpool midfielder could be heading for the exit amid the stand-off over a new contract.
Carlos Mac Allister, a former Argentina international, acknowledged that Liverpool have yet to contact the family about fresh terms — but insisted there is no reason to question his son’s commitment to the club.
Mac Allister’s future had come under scrutiny after he openly admitted last week that he was “very, very sad” to see Liverpool hand improved contracts to Dominik Szoboszlai and Ryan Gravenberch, who both arrived at Anfield in the same summer as him in 2023.
Yet his father has sought to play down the situation.
Speaking to Scores 365, Carlos said: “No one from Liverpool’s management has contacted us to renew his contract yet.”
He added: “We have a contract that is valid and we are committed to it with Liverpool. And if the club does not offer to renew the contract, it is their right.”
Carlos also insisted that his son is not allowing the uncertainty to affect his performances.
“Alexis is not disappointed. This is a decision that the club makes, and we don’t judge their decisions, we just prepare for what’s to come.”
REAL MADRID LINK DISMISSED
Speculation had also linked Mac Allister with a move to Real Madrid, but his father firmly rejected those reports.
“No-one from Real Madrid has contacted us at any point in the entire career of Alexis,” he said.
The midfielder himself revealed that there had been opportunities to leave Liverpool during the summer, while making clear that his immediate focus remained at Anfield.
“There were options to leave this summer,” Mac Allister said.

He explained that Liverpool had told him they were not in a position to offer him a new contract, admitting that the situation had left him deeply disappointed.
“I think as everyone knows I received the news that the club was not in a position to offer me a new contract, which of course makes me very, very sad.”
Mac Allister stressed that he continues to give everything for Liverpool and said seeing Szoboszlai and Gravenberch receive new deals had left him with mixed emotions.
“I see Dominik and Ryan renewing their contracts and that makes me very happy because they deserve it, but at the same time, it makes me a little bit sad I didn’t get mine.”
MAC ALLISTER’S MESSAGE TO LIVERPOOL FANS

Despite his frustration, the midfielder was equally clear that supporters should not panic over his future.
“There is still time, the fans don’t need to worry because I will
