Princess Eugenie’s Baby Daughter Missing From Royal Succession List In Major Palace Website Oversight

Princess Eugenie’s newborn daughter has yet to appear on the official line of succession published by the Royal Family’s website, despite the baby being born more than two weeks ago and her name having now been publicly announced.
Adelaide Elizabeth Annina Brooksbank, the daughter of Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank, was born in Lisbon, Portugal, on August 3.
Eugenie revealed her daughter’s name on Monday, explaining that it had been chosen in honour of three people the couple “love and admire past and present.”
She also highlighted the name’s connection to both England and Portugal, two places the family considers home.

Yet the official succession list on Royal.uk has not been updated to include Adelaide.
The website continues to show the Duke of Edinburgh in 15th place, immediately after Adelaide’s older brother, Ernest Brooksbank.
Under the expected order, Adelaide should now occupy 15th place, pushing the Duke of Edinburgh down to 16th.
The discrepancy has remained visible more than a day after Eugenie announced her daughter’s name and more than two weeks after the birth.
GB News has contacted Buckingham Palace for comment.

Despite the omission from the website, Adelaide’s position in the succession is not in question. As the daughter of Princess Eugenie, who is currently 12th in line, Adelaide becomes the latest addition to the order.
She will not carry the style of Her Royal Highness.
The little girl is also the late Queen Elizabeth II’s 15th great-grandchild and the third great-grandchild born since the monarch’s death in 2022.
Eugenie announced the birth with a series of photographs and described the period since welcoming her daughter as “the most special, cosy and love-filled time.”
The Princess also revealed that her two sons, August and Ernest, were already embracing their new role.
“Augie and Ernie are already the best big brothers,” she wrote.

Adelaide’s arrival is particularly notable because she was born overseas. Eugenie and Jack have established a home in Portugal, where they welcomed their first daughter.
The couple, who first met in 2010 through mutual friends, married after receiving the late Queen’s blessing during a visit to Balmoral in 2016.
For now, however, Adelaide’s arrival has created an unusual royal administrative wrinkle.
Her place in the succession has changed—but the official website has yet to catch up.
And until it does, the royal line of succession will continue to show a rather obvious missing name.
