WAYNE ROONEY SET FOR £2MILLION I’M A CELEBRITY DEAL — FOOTBALL LEGEND COULD FOLLOW COLEEN INTO THE JUNGLE IN RECORD-BREAKING MOVE

Wayne Rooney looked every inch the football legend as he joined wife Coleen for the glamorous London premiere of their new Disney+ reality series — but behind the red-carpet smiles, the former Manchester United star is reportedly considering a very different kind of challenge.

Rooney, 40, is said to be in advanced talks to join I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in what could become the show’s biggest-ever signing.

The reports emerged as Wayne and Coleen, also 40, celebrated the launch of The Real Rooneys at Picturehouse Central in Piccadilly Circus on Tuesday.

Coleen looked stunning in a white satin cowl-neck blouse and matching wide-leg trousers, completing the look with white stilettos, chunky gold earrings and a white coat draped over her shoulders.

Wayne opted for a navy suit and white shirt as the couple posed together before heading inside for the screening.

WAYNE COULD BE HEADING TO THE JUNGLE

According to reports, ITV bosses are keen to secure Rooney for the upcoming series, with insiders claiming he could command the biggest fee in the show’s 24-year history.

The potential deal would reportedly surpass the £1.5million Coleen earned for her own appearance two years ago.

Wayne has previously admitted that I’m A Celebrity is one reality show he would consider.

“[I’m A Celebrity] is something I would never say no to, of course,” he said last year.

“I think I said on the aftershow when Coleen was in the jungle, that was the one we’ve always watched and the one we both said if there was anything we’d do it’d be that.”

He added: “So, you never know in the future, but I’ve got other things I’m looking at at the minute.”

Now, according to TV insiders, the former England captain is keen to take on the jungle challenge — and one of his biggest motivations could be his four sons.

COLEEN COULD BECOME WAYNE’S JUNGLE COACH

The couple could even reunite in Australia if Wayne signs up.

Coleen and their three younger sons — Klay, 13, Kit, 10, and Cass, eight — could reportedly travel Down Under to support him, while eldest son Kai, 16, may remain in Britain to concentrate on his football training after securing a Manchester United scholarship.

A source told The Sun on Sunday: “Wayne is in advanced talks for I’m A Celebrity and if they secure him, he’ll be their biggest signing in the show’s history.”

The insider added that Wayne wants to show his sons what he can do and has joked about giving Coleen “a run for her money”.

“He is really competitive and hates losing so will give I’m A Celebrity his all,” the source claimed.

Coleen is reportedly supportive and has even been giving her husband hints and tips about jungle life.

The reports remain unconfirmed, with an ITV representative telling the Daily Mail: “Any names suggested for I’m A Celebrity are just speculation.”

COLEEN’S JUNGLE RUN ENDED IN THE FINAL

Wayne would have a particularly high bar to clear after watching Coleen’s hugely successful appearance in 2024.

The WAG reached the final and finished runner-up to McFly star Danny Jones, winning widespread attention during her time in the jungle.

Her appearance came after the fallout from the Wagatha Christie scandal and helped open up a string of new career opportunities, including her Primark clothing range.

Now the possibility of Wayne entering the jungle himself would give the couple another major television storyline just as their own reality show prepares to launch.

THE ROONEYS OPEN THEIR DOORS

The Real Rooneys gives viewers unprecedented access to Wayne and Coleen’s family life, following the couple as they balance their careers with raising Kai, Klay, Kit and Cass.

The 10-part Disney+ series moves between their Cheshire home and family holidays in Barbados, Disneyland Paris and the Alps.

The trailers promise plenty of laughter and family chaos, but also reveal more vulnerable moments from the couple’s 18-year marriage.

In one scene, Coleen tells Wayne during a family holiday: “This is supposed to be a family holiday. You can’t keep doing what you’re doing,” before walking away from the sunbed.

Wayne responds with a joke: “The doghouse manual? I’m on me third book.”

In another emotional moment, Coleen breaks down to a friend and admits: “It’s hard juggling everything, like the house is not happy.”

A £10MILLION STREAMING BATTLE

The series itself has already generated enormous interest, with Disney+ reportedly beating Amazon after a bidding war for the rights.

Sources close to the project claimed the deal reached £10million, with Coleen reportedly receiving £5million and the remainder going to production company Lorton Entertainment.

The show’s appeal is built around something viewers rarely see from the famously private family — their everyday life away from football.

Even their huge Cheshire home, nicknamed “The Morrisons Mansion” because of its resemblance to the supermarket chain, becomes part of the story.

“This house is everything I’ve dreamed of – the problem is I have to share it with our four boys,” Coleen says in the series.

The Real Rooneys premieres exclusively on Disney+ on September 24.

And with Wayne’s potential jungle move now adding another twist, the Rooney family’s biggest television chapter may only just be getting started.
