The 1% Club Fans Feared The Worst When Lee Mack’s Show Suddenly Went Back To Its Very First Series — But ITV’s Unexpected Response Has Sparked A Whole New Conversation About The Future Of The £100,000 Quiz Show.

The 1% Club Fans Celebrate Return News After Complaints Over Hard-to-Read Questions

ITV’s hit quiz show The 1% Club is set to return with more episodes, much to the delight of fans who have been eager to find out when the popular programme will be back on their screens. The announcement has also brought some relief to viewers who previously complained that the questions were too difficult to read during the early episodes.

Hosted by Lee Mack, The 1% Club has attracted a loyal audience since its debut in 2021. Unlike traditional quiz shows that rely heavily on general knowledge and trivia, the programme challenges contestants to solve logic-based puzzles, putting their reasoning skills to the test.

With 100 contestants competing, the ultimate goal is to win the £100,000 jackpot. However, reaching that prize is far from easy. The questions become increasingly challenging, with the final test designed to be answered correctly by just 1% of the British public.

Show bosses hint at more episodes

On Saturday, July 20, ITV viewers were treated to a repeat from the show’s first series. While some enjoyed revisiting the earlier episodes, others were more interested in learning what the future held for the programme.

One fan took to social media to ask whether a new series would arrive the following year. The show’s team responded with encouraging news, saying: “Hopefully more new episodes later in the year and LOTS of new episodes next year.”

As reported by the Mirror, the response offered fans hope that more instalments of the popular quiz would be on the way, both later in the year and the following year.

The news was welcomed by viewers who have continued to follow the show and its brain-teasing challenges.

Viewers welcome changes to the show’s graphics

Alongside the return news, the July 20 repeat gave fans another reason to talk about the programme. Several viewers noticed that the questions appeared larger on screen than they had in the earlier episodes, addressing a problem that had previously frustrated those trying to play along at home.

One viewer pointed out the difference, writing: “This is the series where the questions were really small on the screen and none of us could read them.”

Another fan was pleased to see that the production team appeared to have taken viewers’ feedback on board. Thanking the show’s bosses for making the adjustment, they wrote: “Thank the TV gods for listening to all of our tweets asking for that to be improved.”

The change was particularly welcome for fans who had struggled to read the questions and answers during the programme’s first few episodes.

Fans previously criticised ITV over question size

When The 1% Club first arrived on television, some viewers expressed frustration over the size of the on-screen graphics. The questions and possible answers were difficult for some people to read, making it harder to participate in the quiz from home.

One unhappy viewer questioned how audiences were supposed to take part when the text was so difficult to see, asking: “How on earth are we meant to play along at home if we can’t read the questions?”

Another viewer raised a similar concern, calling on the programme’s team to make the text larger and easier to follow. They remarked: “Why they can’t make the questions bigger so it’s easier to read? Only 1 per cent of people can see some of those questions.”

The complaints continued even after some viewers believed the graphics had been enlarged. One fan acknowledged the claimed improvement but said the text remained difficult to read, writing: “They say the graphics are bigger than the previous series but I still have to lean forward and squint and I’m wearing my glasses! #The1PercentClub.”

The latest repeat suggests that the show’s graphics have since received attention, with some viewers welcoming the changes and praising the team for listening to their concerns.

With more episodes anticipated, fans can look forward to another round of logic puzzles, tough questions and the chance to test their skills against the show’s increasingly difficult challenges.

The 1% Club airs on Saturdays on ITV1.
