Meghan Markle Considers Another Paris Fashion Week Appearance as Harry Stays in Britain
Meghan Markle could be preparing for another high-profile appearance in Paris, potentially making her first major public outing since returning to the UK with Prince Harry and their children.
According to the Daily Express, the Duchess of Sussex has been considering a trip to Paris Fashion Week this weekend. Nothing has been officially confirmed, but a source told the publication that Markle is interested in attending alone.
“She’s keen to go alone and hold her head high,” the source said. “Meghan deliberately hasn’t attended an event in the UK yet; she’s been holding out for the perfect time, and Paris offers that.”
The same source claimed Markle had been invited through official channels, although she was still considering whether the timing was right.
If she does make the trip, Prince Harry is expected to remain in Britain with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. The couple have increasingly appeared at separate engagements in recent weeks.
Harry’s Recent UK Schedule
Harry has already been keeping a busy solo schedule in Britain.
On September 17, he attended a Save the Children event with Imperial College London before heading to the Invictus Spirit Awards in Greenwich later that day.
The following day, September 18, he traveled to Birmingham to launch the Invictus INSPIRE program at a school.
Harry then appeared at the WellChild Awards in London on September 21.
Markle, by comparison, has not made a major official public appearance since the family returned to Britain. She was, however, reportedly seen at Soho Farmhouse earlier in September.
On September 21, she was also spotted at The Three Horseshoes pub near Burford with friends Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi.
That relative absence from the public stage has made the possibility of a Paris appearance particularly notable. The Daily Express source described the event as a possible opportunity for Markle to make her public debut following the family’s move back to Britain.
A Possible Paris Hint From As Ever
There may also have been a subtle hint from Markle’s lifestyle brand, As Ever.
The company recently promoted the return of one of its best-selling leather bookmarks in a new navy-blue version. In the promotional image, the bookmark appeared alongside a book, prompting speculation among some observers that it could be connected to a possible Paris trip.
The brand’s teaser read: “Our Latest Keepsake (emoji) As ever’s best-selling bookmark returns tomorrow in a brand new luxurious navy blue with a new reminder to hold close.”
The bookmark is made in the UK from Italian leather and carries the words “Only Gets Better” in gold lettering. As Ever described the product as a keepsake intended to mark a reader’s place while offering an optimistic reminder about the pages still to come. The £15 item sold out shortly after its release.
The timing of the product launch attracted additional attention because it came as Markle was being linked to another possible appearance in Paris. Some social media users interpreted the imagery and wording as a possible clue, although neither As Ever nor Markle has confirmed that the bookmark was intended to signal a Fashion Week appearance.
Why a Return to Paris Would Be Significant
A trip to Paris would also bring Markle back to the same fashion event where she made her Paris Fashion Week debut the previous year.
On October 4, 2025, she attended Balenciaga’s Spring/Summer 2026 show in Paris to support the fashion house’s Creative Director, Pierpaolo Piccioli. It was her first appearance at Paris Fashion Week.
Markle’s representative said at the time that the Duchess had worn several designs by Piccioli over the years and had worked closely with him on designs for important occasions on the world stage.
For the show, Markle wore a white Balenciaga ensemble featuring a dramatic cape before changing into another custom look from the label.
Her appearance generated attention beyond the clothes, however. A video that circulated after the show appeared to show Markle laughing following a model’s fall on the runway.
Her representative pushed back against that interpretation, saying Markle had actually been reacting to “a moment shared with a friend.”
The Paris Video That Drew Backlash
Another video from the same Paris trip proved considerably more controversial.
Markle had posted footage from inside a limousine as it traveled through Paris near the Pont de l’Alma area, where Princess Diana died in a car crash in 1997.
The location immediately became a point of discussion because of its connection to Harry’s late mother.
A potential return to Paris would therefore come with an unusually familiar backdrop. Markle has not confirmed that she will attend Fashion Week this year, and the report remains based on an unnamed source rather than an official announcement.
For now, the possibility of another solo Paris appearance is the main development, while Harry continues his separate schedule in Britain and Markle remains largely out of the public spotlight since the family’s return.
