Meghan Markle Celebrates Her Entrepreneurial Journey, With a Sweet Glimpse of What She May Be Passing on to Lilibet
Meghan Markle’s latest Instagram post is as much a reflection on where she started as it is a celebration of where she is today.
As she prepares to expand her lifestyle brand As Ever with its holiday collection, the Duchess of Sussex looked back on the small ventures that shaped her early interest in business. Among the nostalgic clips was a particularly personal moment: her five-year-old daughter, Princess Lilibet, joining her in the kitchen to help make fruit preserves.
The brief appearance offers a glimpse into the way Meghan is introducing her children to the everyday experiences that have long been part of her own story.
Lilibet joins Meghan in the kitchen
In the video, Meghan is shown preparing what appears to be a fruit preserve when Lilibet joins her.
The young princess can be seen stirring the mixture in a bowl before Meghan asks what she thinks of their creation. Lilibet responds, “I think it’s beautiful,” providing a rare glimpse of her personality and voice.
Meghan also included a photograph of herself with her daughter in the post, adding another intimate mother-and-daughter moment to the montage.
The clip appeared as part of a much broader look at Meghan’s entrepreneurial journey. Rather than focusing solely on As Ever, the video traced her interest in business back to childhood, highlighting the small ventures and jobs that she says helped shape her outlook.

From scrunchies and Girl Scout cookies to As Ever
Meghan recalled making and selling scrunchies while she was at school, selling Girl Scout cookies, running lemonade stands and working in yogurt shops.
Those early experiences eventually led to The Tig, her former lifestyle blog, and later to As Ever.
The progression is important to the message of the post. Meghan’s account presents entrepreneurship as something that developed gradually through ordinary childhood experiences rather than appearing suddenly with the launch of a major brand.
She also returned to a phrase she had previously shared on The Tig: “Behind every successful woman is herself.”
At the same time, Meghan acknowledged the people who help make a business possible, emphasizing the value of “a community of love, a squad of support, an amazing team.”
Taken together, the message places independence alongside collaboration. And with Lilibet now appearing in a video connected to one of her mother’s creative projects, the post offers a subtle glimpse at the kind of hands-on experiences Meghan may hope her daughter will grow up appreciating.
A milestone moment for As Ever
Meghan’s post also marked an important point in As Ever’s development.
Reflecting on the brand’s progress over the past year, she wrote that she felt “very proud and grateful” as she watched the business grow. She also thanked her team for helping bring her vision to life.
The timing coincides with the launch of As Ever’s 2026 Holiday Collection.
Among the seasonal offerings is the brand’s first limited-edition Advent calendar, created in collaboration with Los Angeles chocolatier Compartés. Released on October 1, the $148 calendar contains 24 handcrafted chocolates inspired by favorites associated with As Ever, including strawberry, raspberry, blackberry and orange marmalade. The design draws on Meghan and Prince Harry’s former Montecito home and garden, with the numbers written in Meghan’s own handwriting and finished with edible gold luster.
The holiday range has since expanded to include gift baskets, chocolates and other seasonal items. The Pantry Basket is priced at £195, while the Parlour Basket costs £182 and the Hostess Basket £159.
For Meghan, the collection appears closely tied to the traditions and surroundings that have become part of the As Ever identity.

Girl Scouts remain part of Meghan’s story
The emphasis on childhood entrepreneurship also connects with something Meghan has discussed before: her experience as a Girl Scout.
She spoke warmly about those years during her Netflix series With Love, Meghan, recalling the role that selling Girl Scout cookies played in her childhood.
Her connection to the organization has continued into her professional work. Meghan and Prince Harry served as executive producers of Cookie Queens, a 2026 documentary directed by Alysa Nahmias that follows four young women navigating the competitive world of Girl Scout cookie sales. The film had its world premiere at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival on January 25 and was released by Roadside Attractions on August 7.
Meghan’s involvement in the documentary carries an especially personal connection. Director Alysa Nahmias has spoken about Meghan’s Girl Scout background, including the fact that her mother, Doria Ragland, was her troop leader. Meghan was also part of the same Greater Los Angeles council as Nikki, one of the young women featured in the film.
That connection helps explain why the themes of ambition, independence and learning through small opportunities continue to resonate with Meghan.
Passing an entrepreneurial mindset to the next generation
The appearance of Lilibet in the new video gives those themes a more personal dimension.
At five years old, she is obviously far too young for the kind of business experiences Meghan describes from her own childhood. But the kitchen scene shows her participating in a simple activity alongside her mother, much as Meghan has previously shared glimpses of her children spending time in the garden and around the family’s home.
The significance of the moment is therefore less about suggesting that Lilibet is already following in her mother’s professional footsteps and more about the values Meghan repeatedly associates with her own upbringing: curiosity, creativity, independence and the willingness to start small.
Those ideas have become increasingly visible in the way Meghan talks about As Ever. The brand grew out of the lifestyle interests that once defined The Tig, while its products and storytelling continue to draw heavily on food, gardening, family traditions and entertaining.
Lilibet’s small role in the latest video fits naturally into that picture.
A holiday season with a different backdrop
The timing of the post also comes as Meghan and her family prepare for a holiday season shaped by a significant change in their circumstances.
The Sussexes recently returned to the UK with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, after years of living primarily in the United States. Their move means the children are experiencing a holiday season in Britain after growing up largely in California.
At the same time, Meghan’s As Ever business continues to have strong ties to California. The new Advent calendar, for example, was inspired by the Montecito home and garden that have featured prominently in the brand’s visual identity.
That blend of old memories, family traditions and new experiences runs through Meghan’s latest post.
Her look back at selling scrunchies, Girl Scout cookies and lemonade before eventually creating The Tig and As Ever is ultimately a story about where she believes her entrepreneurial instincts began. By including Lilibet in that story, Meghan has also offered a glimpse of how some of those everyday lessons may continue into the next generation.
