SUSAN BOYLE has announced a new album with Simon Cowell’s record label – saying that the release proves she is “back on track” following reports of a meltdown.
A Wonderful World, the Scottish singer’s seventh album, features a “virtual duet” with crooner Nat King Cole.
The former Britain’s Got Talent star sparked speculation about her health when she was escorted out of Heathrow Airport after getting upset in the airport lounge at the end of April.
The star’s spokeswoman later said that her behaviour was characteristic of Asperger syndrome, the condition Susan was diagnosed with in 2013.
The 55-year-old, who is signed to Simon’s label Syco, said: “There’s been a lot of speculation over the past year – but I’m great, back on track and this album proves it.
“It was great to get back into the recording studio and do what I enjoy the most.”
The album also features her rendition of Madonna’s Like A Prayer, Robbie Williams’ Angels and When I Fall In Love, “with” Nat King Cole.
A Wonderful World will be released in November.
