‘Perfect’ ITV crime comedy drama leaves viewers issuing same demand
A new comedy crime drama starring D’Arcy Carden and Will Forte is set to air on ITVX next month.
Next month, ITV viewers will be able to watch the beloved American series Sunny Nights as the comedy crime drama will land on ITVX.Originally, the eight-part show first aired in Australia at the end of 2025 before broadcasting in America this spring. Now, it’s coming to the UK on August 16.
However, people who have already seen the show are already issuing a demand for more. One person said: “It was a fun watch, D’Arcy Caden’s character was annoying. Looking forward to season 2.”
Another commented: “I have only episode 8 left, but I’ll be very upset if this is not picked up for more seasons.”
Someone else added: “This show is really fun and addicting. The writing is smart, the jokes hit, the production value is great and the acting blew me away. After all the twists and turns in this story, I’m literally on the edge of my seat — when is season 2????”
Sunny Night features actors Will Forte and D’Arcy Carden as they take on the roles of American siblings Martin Marvin and Vicky.
A synopsis for the series reads: “As Martin and Vicki attempt to turn their company from a start-up operating out of the back of a van into a multi-million-dollar empire, the siblings become tangled up in Sydney’s criminal underworld.

“When a ruthless gangster begins to catch up with them, the two must figure out how to stay alive, out of prison, and in the black. Alongside Will and D’Arcy, the cast also features the likes of Rachel House, Jessica De Gouw and Miritana Hughes.”
Speaking about filming Suny Nights in the past, Will Forte had nothing but praise as he told Australian Rolling Stone about the potential for more series.
Although higlighted that now his daughter is at an age that she needs to be in more of a permanent school.
He added: “We would make it happen because there’s no way I would not be a part of this again, and I think we’d probably try to bring the whole family down just because I couldn’t be away from them for that long. Australia brought out the best in all of us.

“Darcy and I talk about it all the time, just like, ‘We could live there. Why don’t we move to Sydney?’ We’re both from Northern California, so right outside San Francisco.
“The whole harbour area reminds us of San Francisco. It’s just the best of everything all wrapped into one, so it’s all felt very familiar, but was totally new at the same time. I loved it. I just can’t say enough about it.”
