Michael Strahan Quietly Welcomes Baby Girl With Longtime Girlfriend Kayla Quick, Becoming a Father of Five
Michael Strahan has reportedly added another daughter to his family — and managed to keep the major milestone private for months despite appearing regularly on national television.
The 54-year-old Good Morning America co-anchor and former NFL star welcomed a baby girl earlier this year with his longtime girlfriend, Kayla Quick, according to TMZ. The child is the couple’s first together and Strahan’s fifth overall.
The news came as a surprise because Strahan and Quick had made no public announcement about expecting or welcoming a child. A representative for Strahan declined to comment to TMZ.

A major milestone kept almost entirely private
Strahan has spent years in front of cameras, but his relationship with Quick has remained notably removed from the spotlight.
The pair have been linked since 2015 and have rarely spoken publicly about their life together. Quick has occasionally accompanied Strahan to major events, but the couple has largely avoided sharing intimate details of their relationship.
That approach appears to have extended to the arrival of their daughter.
According to TMZ, Quick gave birth earlier in 2026. No name or further details about the baby were disclosed in the initial report.
The new arrival makes Strahan a father of five.

Strahan already has four adult children
Before welcoming his newest daughter, Strahan was already the father of Tanita and Michael Jr., whom he shares with his first wife, Wanda Hutchins, as well as twins Isabella and Sophia from his second marriage to Jean Muggli.
Tanita is 34, Michael Jr. is 31, while Isabella and Sophia are 21.
Strahan has frequently spoken about the importance of his children and has shared glimpses of their milestones over the years.
His family also expanded in another direction in September 2024 when Tanita welcomed a son named Onyx, making Strahan a grandfather for the first time.
Now, the arrival of his fifth child means the television personality is experiencing fatherhood again more than two decades after welcoming his twins.

Kayla Quick has been part of the family for more than a decade
Although Strahan and Quick have deliberately kept their romance private, she has been present for several important moments involving his children.
She attended Strahan’s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony in 2023 and has supported the family at other major occasions, including graduations.
Her presence became particularly significant during one of the family’s most difficult periods, when Isabella was diagnosed with medulloblastoma, a malignant brain tumor, in 2023.
Isabella underwent surgery followed by radiation and chemotherapy. In 2024, she announced that she was cancer-free.
Quick was seen spending time with Strahan and his daughters during that difficult chapter and later joined the family for happier celebrations.

Isabella’s health battle put family at the center of Strahan’s life
Strahan temporarily stepped away from his television responsibilities in late 2023 for what was initially described as personal family matters.
Months later, viewers learned the painful circumstances behind that absence when Strahan and Isabella appeared together on Good Morning America and revealed her brain tumor diagnosis.
The former New York Giants star later acknowledged the emotional toll of watching his daughter go through treatment.
Isabella documented parts of her journey publicly, while Strahan remained closely involved throughout her recovery. Her eventual cancer-free update gave the family reason to celebrate after months of uncertainty.
The experience reinforced something Strahan has emphasized throughout his post-football career: his children remain his priority even amid the demands of his highly visible television schedule.
From NFL star to one of morning television’s most recognizable faces
Strahan’s family has continued growing while his professional life has evolved dramatically.
After spending his entire NFL career with the New York Giants and winning Super Bowl XLII, Strahan successfully transitioned into broadcasting.
He became a familiar face on Fox NFL Sunday before expanding into daytime and morning television, eventually joining Good Morning America as a full-time co-anchor.
That visibility makes the privacy surrounding his newest daughter’s arrival particularly striking.
Strahan appears on television almost daily, yet he and Quick managed to keep one of the biggest developments in their personal lives largely out of public view until TMZ reported the news on August 27.
A new chapter for Michael Strahan
Neither Strahan nor Quick had publicly commented on their daughter’s arrival when the news emerged, and the couple has not revealed her name or other personal details.
Their decision is consistent with the way they have handled their relationship for more than a decade — appearing together occasionally while keeping most of their private life away from cameras.
For Strahan, however, the reported arrival represents a significant new chapter.
He is now balancing life as a Good Morning America anchor, former NFL star and grandfather with something he already knows well — being a dad — as he welcomes his fifth child and another daughter into the Strahan family.
