We have plenty of burning questions about what’s going to happen in Landman Season 3 — particularly when it comes to the matter of Tommy Norris’ (Billy Bob Thornton) hanging his own shingle alongside T.L. (Sam Elliott) and Cooper (Jacob Lofland). Can the longtime fixer really make it on his own in such a cutthroat industry? Will Cami (Demi Moore) emerge as his number-one nemesis in the process? And how will his family cope with an uncertain financial future, especially when Angela (Ali Larter) has such expensive tastes?

We will, of course, have to wait until the series returns to know the answers to this for sure — and production is kicking off next month in Texas, so perhaps we’ll get some clues from set spottings, too — but in the meantime, some fans have started throwing out their predictions and wishlist items for Landman Season 3.

On the show’s Reddit page, one fan put together a list of must-haves for Season 3 that includes, “Cami must be made to suffer. Dale [James Jordan] must find a girlfriend. Angela needs to just go away…” before inviting others to pitch in with their ideas.

Another fan chimed in to say that they want “Ainsley and Cooper … to be at least decent to each other,” in response to the two-season-long animosity between the brother and sister that we’ve seen thus far. Another commenter then added, it’d “be nice to see Angela give a [f**k] about Cooper,” referring to Angela’s general lack of contact with her own son.

However, another participant in the thread wants the focus to shift from the characters’ home lives to the workplace, writing, “We really don’t need any more relationship arcs. What Season 3 needs is to get people out of the house and back into the oil field.”

As for specific theories about what might be next, one fan guessed that Cami’s big wager in Season 2 will not end well for her, writing, “Cami loses everything on Monday. Gas hits on Tuesday.”

On the other hand, another fan who agreed that Cami’s gamble might not pay off for her pitched that it could be a positive in the end. “Cami needs to suffer enough for Tommy to have to rescue her because of loyalty [to] Monty [Jon Hamm].” Another had a similar prediction, writing, “Cami needs to just realize the error of her ways and then have a redemption arc before she retires comfortably albeit less comfortably than she could have if she would have followed Tommy’s advice.”

While others on the thread predicted that the cartel, headed by Gallino (Andy Garcia), would come back into play in a big way, at least one fan suspects it will have tragic consequences for Tommy. “Andy Garcia is clearly going to break bad at some point. He’s not a good person and we are going to see his legitimate business man facade crumble. I’m betting Coop’s lucky streak comes to an end or something happens to where Gallino doesn’t get paid and he’s going to hurt someone… He probably kills Angela and you get your wish that she goes away,” they wrote.
