Emmerdale fans will be left devastated for Charity Dingle in upcoming scenes on the ITV soap.
Recently, sinister Dr Todd sexually assaulted Charity following weeks of blackmail. Dr Todd had discovered the real biological parentage of baby Leyla, weaponising this knowledge to torment Charity before attacking her in distressing scenes.
Charity courageously reported Dr Todd to the police, including the blackmail, and has since disclosed everything to husband Mack Boyd, who confronted her at Dr Todd’s new workplace.
Soap fans are aware that Dr Todd will ultimately be killed off following a flashforward episode, though the murderer’s identity remains a mystery.
In major spoilers for the coming week, Charity is left completely crushed and heartbroken to discover the CPS won’t be progressing Dr Todd’s case owing to insufficient evidence.

Determined not to let Dr Todd escape justice, Mack and Vanessa Woodfield begin scheming together, believing they might potentially dig up historic complaints at the hospital to expose the menacing doctor.
Jacob Sugden also becomes embroiled after Dr Todd made his life unbearable while he worked as a junior doctor beneath her in a hard-hitting workplace bullying storyline.
Vanessa joins forces with Jacob as they arrange a private meeting with HR representative Carol in an attempt to gather evidence.

Initially, Helen is reluctant to open up, but when Charity quietly discloses that Dr Todd raped her, it visibly resonates with a deeply troubled Helen.
Will Charity manage to obtain the answers and evidence she needs to strengthen her case?
The newcomer Helen is portrayed by actress Nicole Evans, who is perhaps best recognised for her appearances in productions including Captain America: The First Avenger, Hollyoaks, The Bay and The Sandman – amongst others.
