Raven-Symoné is heading back to The View!
PEOPLE can exclusively reveal that the actress and television personality, 40, will return to the ABC daytime talk show as a guest co-host on Thursday, Oct. 15, and Friday, Oct. 16, joining Whoopi Goldberg, Sara Haines, Ana Navarro, Sunny Hostin and Alyssa Farah Griffin at the Hot Topics table as the series continues its milestone 30th season.
Her return will also include an appearance alongside her wife, Miranda Maday, on Thursday’s episode of Behind the Table, the show’s companion podcast hosted by executive producer Brian Teta. The couple co-host their own podcast, The Best Podcast Ever with Raven and Miranda.
Raven-Symoné is the latest former co-host to return to The View as part of its 30th-season celebrations. Since the new season kicked off in September, original co-hosts Star Jones and Debbie Matenopoulos, along with Lisa Ling and Sherri Shepherd, have all returned for guest stints.

For Raven-Symoné, the reunion marks another homecoming to the show where she spent more than a year as a regular co-host. The That’s So Raven star officially joined The View in June 2015 after making several appearances as a guest co-host. She remained on the panel until 2016, when she departed to develop and star in Raven’s Home, the Disney Channel sequel to her hit sitcom.
Her tenure was marked by lively debates and occasional controversy, with Raven-Symoné making headlines for some of her comments during the show’s Hot Topics discussions.
Looking back on the experience during an October 2024 appearance on Sherri, Raven-Symoné joked that her biggest takeaway from working on The View was learning “to shut the hell up.”
“To like, not speak. If you have an opinion, keep it to yourself,” she told former View co-host Shepherd, before laughing and adding, “No, I’m just playing.
Still, Raven-Symoné acknowledged that the experience had taught her some valuable lessons about expressing herself on live television.
“When I started the show, I said, ‘I’m going to make this like I’m talking to my best friends in my house,’ ” she recalled. “When I left the show, I said, ‘That is a television show, live, with million people watching, that was not neighborhood conversation.’ ”
“You really do have to mold how you say things,” she continued. “It’s live! It’s really difficult. And it’s really difficult to say anything on television, live or not, because people truly get clips and then choose what it means later for themselves.”

During a visit to The View earlier that same month, Raven-Symoné also admitted that returning to the studio still made her nervous.
“As you guys know, every time I come here, I have to come to this job maybe 45 minutes earlier to say hi to everybody,” she told the panel. “And then when I get on this, I have PTSD — please don’t ask me any questions.”
She lightened the moment with a joke about the show’s drinkware. “But I do love these cups!” she said, taking a sip of water. “Good cups this season!”

Raven-Symoné’s upcoming appearances come as longtime co-host Joy Behar remains on medical leave after dislocating her shoulder.
Behar, who has been absent from the show since her injury was announced on Oct. 1, shared an update on her recovery in a statement read by moderator Goldberg at the top of Tuesday’s episode.
“Thanks to everyone who inquired about my recovery,” Behar said. “If I was still 21 I’d have bounced back the next day, but since I’m an old bat recuperating takes a bit longer. I plan to be back next week to fill everyone in on all the gory details.”
The injury also kept Behar away from the table on Oct. 7, when she celebrated her 84th birthday.
Goldberg addressed her absence that day, sharing a characteristically humorous message from Behar, who noted that “despite sharing a birthday with Vladimir Putin, she does not have the Russian plague.”
“So what we’re saying is: Get better fast so we can celebrate you back here on The View,” Goldberg told Behar.
The View airs weekdays at 11 a.m. ET on ABC.
