He’s got a farm, a pub, several presenting gigs – and now Jeremy Clarkson can add a Britain’s Got Talent final-making choir to his CV.

The Hawkstone Farmers’ Choir, which was founded by Clarkson, made it through to the final of BGT on Saturday night after performing a rendition of Bastille’s “Pompeii”.

Clarkson initially established the choir as part of an advertising campaign for his brewing firm, bringing 34 British farmers from across the country together to sing. However, the group have since used their platform to raise awareness for mental health issues in the farming community.

Following the group’s live performance during the semi-final on Saturday (23 May), Simon Cowell praised the choir before admitting he’s not looking forward to seeing pal Clarkson’s “smug face”.

“You’re not a professional choir, however I love what you stand for,” he told them. “It might be quite annoying to see Jeremy Clarkson‘s smug face, that’s the only downside.

“He’s a friend of mine. However more importantly this is about you and you did brilliantly well congratulations.”

He later described the group as “one of the favourites to win”, while fellow judge Amanda Holden added: “This choir, I know, has given you solace and joy and comfort and friendship, and all of that has created the most amazing music.”

After the episode, Clarkson shared a celebratory video with Clarkson’s Farm co-star Kaleb Cooper. Punching the air, he’s seen shouting: “Hawkstone Choir! They did it!”

The Hawkstone Farmers’ Choir made it through to the final after winning the public vote. They’re set to perform alongside golden buzzer winner Celestial as well as teenage magician Rafferty Coope in the final on Saturday (30 May)

It’s been a busy month for Clarkson, who is preparing to debut the fifth series of Clarkson’s Farm in June.

It’s set to be a dramatic few episodes, with the show capturing the moment Clarkson was rushed to hospital for heart surgery. He revealed in October 2024 that a stent had been fitted in his heart to clear his arteries after being told that he was potentially days away from dying.

A year and a half later, Clarkson’s Farm viewers will follow the host’s health scare in the new season, which is set to arrive on 3 June on Prime Video.

Meanwhile, it was also revealed today that Clarkson is selling wine at his Cotswolds pub, The Farmer’s Dog, after relaxing a rule that he’s enforced since it opened.

The presenter previously said that he would “serve exclusively British” items, but has now added its own British wine range to the menu.
