Blake Shelton and his wife Gwen Stefani proved they are “Happy Anywhere” on Tuesday evening (July 27) in Nashville with a performance at CMA Summer Jam.

The country superstar and No Doubt singer performed their chart-topping duet “Happy Anywhere,” during the first night of the star-studded CMA Summer Jam at Ascend Amphitheater in Downtown Nashville.

The newlyweds were beaming as the performed the the No.1 smash and even shared a sweet kiss on stage as fans cheered on from their seats.

The song went No. 1 in 2020, marking Shelton’s 28th No. 1 single and Stefani’s second chart-topper at country radio.

“Happy Anywhere” was co-written by Ross Copperman, Josh Osborne and Matt Jenkins and follows the release of Shelton and Stefani’s chart-topping duet, “Nobody But You.”

“You know, ‘Happy Anywhere’ has got to be one of the most fun songs that I’ve ever had a chance to record and the actual recording process was a blast. Listening to it afterwards was a blast,” Shelton previously explained of the song. “I had a moment where Gwen told me, “You know, there’s something about this song that just makes you smile.” And it doesn’t hurt that it has Happy in the title.”

Prior to their performance at Ascend Amphitheater, Stefani took in some local sights and even enjoyed a Music City staple with a visit to Hattie B’s Hot Chicken. The popular, family-owned restaurant documented her visit on Instagram.

The first night of CMA Summer Jam also featured performances from Carrie Underwood, Mickey Guyton, Carly Pearce, Luke Bryan, Cole Swindell, Dwight Yoakam, Lainey Wilson.

The show will return to Ascend Amphitheater on Wednesday (July 28) with Jimmie Allen, Gabby Barrett, Dierks Bentley, Brothers Osborne, Luke Combs, Florida Georgia Line, Miranda Lambert, Jon Pardi and Thomas Rhett.

The shows are being taped for a TV special set to air on ABC at a later date.

A portion of ticket sale net proceeds will benefit the CMA Foundation. Since its inception in 2011, the CMA Foundation has been committed to improving and sustaining music programs throughout the U.S. so all students have equitable opportunity to participate in a high-quality music education.
