This is the most spectacular moment of Sydnie Christmas on Britain’s Got Talent. With 27.2% of the vote, she beat magician Jack Rhodes into second place, with mum and daughter dancers Abigail and Afronitaaa in third place.
The other acts in the final were Innocent Masuku, Mike Woodhams and Northants Sings Out, Ssaulabi Performance Troupe, Jack Rhodes, Trixy, Haribow, Alex Mitchell and wildcard The Trickstars.
“I cannot believe the amount of love that I’ve felt since it aired. I am overwhelmed with love and it is the most amazing thing,” said Sydnie after her win.

Sydnie Christmas’s performance in the final brought a standing ovation from the studio audience. Simon Cowell – the head judge – commented that this was one of the best performances he had ever witnessed.
Judge Bruno said he was moved by Sydnie’s voice: ‘You radiated hope, joy and light. Those emotions spread throughout my body during the performance,’ Bruno said.
Both female judges Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden expressed their amazement when they heard Sydnie Christmas sing. Amanda Holden commented that her performance was completely captivating and perfect in every way.
After the final, many TV viewers were also very impressed and praised Sydnie Christmas’s voice. Many commented that she had an angelic voice, giving the feeling that she came from heaven.
Sydnie Christmas was overjoyed when her name was called as the winner. She said: ‘My heart is filled with love and I hope one day everyone can feel the same way. This is amazing, thank you so much.’
Sydnie Christmas is originally from Kent and works as a receptionist at a local gym on a zero-hours contract.
Ahead of the final, Sydnie declared that regardless of the outcome, she would be back at work on Monday morning. ‘I’ve had two weeks off and I’ve got rent to pay!’.
The 9X girl dreams of working full-time at the West End theater in London and hopes Britain’s Got Talent will help her realize that dream.
She stormed through the semi-finals with her take on Frank Sinatra’s ‘My Way’.

While BGT marks Sydnie’s serious mainstream breakthrough, she had notched up some decent TV musical theatre credits before her appearance on the show.
She appeared on E4 structured reality show Stage School in 2016, and as well as appearing in productions of Grease and Starlight Express on cruise ships, also was “Teenage Girl 3” in the West End version of David Bowie swansong Lazarus.
On that production, she sang on versions of Bowie’s ‘It’s No Game (Part 1)’, ‘This Is Not America’, ‘Love Is Lost’, ‘Changes’, ‘Absolute Beginners’ and ‘All the Young Dudes’.
